A year ago – July 2023, to be exact – I quit a waitressing job that I had held for 19 years to become a full-time, work-from-home writer.
Blue Blanket Writer is dedicated to sharing with other would-be writers and solopreneurs (of which there are MANY!) what I learned in my first year and what direction I am headed in now.
Perhaps I can help you avoid some of my missteps. Though even my missteps have had value – helping me learn, helping me decide what direction I want to go in, and helping me understand why that direction was the right direction for me.
My goal is not only to provide insight, but also to provide you with manageable, actionable strategies that you can use to build your own career. Step by manageable step.
I believe you can do it, just as I believe I can do it.
Just know that “it” might not be quite what you are envisioning at the get-go. And know that that is a normal part of the journey too.
